John MacKane |
| John Is a native of New York. He is a graduate of George Washington University
in Washington DC. Where his area of study was, of all things, biology and physiology.
He spent a few years in Europe in the early ‘70s doing research in physiology before
returning to the U.S. and changing focus entirely. It was while attending film school
in New York that he happened to to take an acting class at HB Studios and the rest is
history as they say. He was hooked. |

| John has appeared in scores of shows over the years
in New York and Los Angeles. He has most recently appeared in Autobahn at the Sunset-Gower
Theatre Space. And at Theatre of NOTE he has also been seen as Dan in Willow and Dan by
Dennis Miles, and Tonseisha. At the Write Act Repertory Company he played Herb in The
Last Laugh. Also in Los Angeles he has also appeared in a number of other productions
including The Sausage Eaters (Norman), Math Quiz (Mike), and The Lower Depths
(Kowalski) as well as Heart Trouble (Don) at the Hudson Guild. In New York he has
appeared in The Golden Fleece (Bill), Men in White (Michaelson) and No Man’s Land
(Foster). Also in New York he performed improv with New York Theatresports. He can
also be seen in the recent sci-fi movie thriller Shallow Ground. And you can see him
in the soon to released Alternate Endings. John is a student at the Beverly Hills
Playhouse, where in addition to acting he has pursues directing, writing and producing.
He is also a member of Film Independent and is active in the independent film community.
John continues to write and collaborates with Synergy Seven members on new projects. |
